Beyond Good and Ore

The PhD project focuses on exploring how systems analysis can address ethical challenges in the supply chains of critical minerals for green energy technologies. It aims to integrate systems analysis with applied ethics to improve stakeholder discussions and support responsible decision-making in green innovation. The project uses the global nickel supply chain as a case study, examining ethical burden shifts and trade-offs. By combining ethical theory with material flow analysis, it seeks to create tools that enhance decision-making and transparency, ultimately contributing to more responsible and equitable outcomes in the energy transition.
