Location:

The survival rate for cardiac arrest outside of the hospital is approximately 12%, emphasizing the need for improved first aid, which our concept PRESERVE can provide a solution for. PRESERVE focuses on increasing the survival rate by introducing circulatory support to the patient's vital organs during cardiac arrest. The technology is a combination of using ECMO with a new type of catheters, adapted for first aid during transportation to the hospital. In the project, we have refined the prototype of PRESERVE, explored potential patent protection, and conducted a thorough market analysis. The results contribute valuable insights to make well-informed decisions regarding further investments in the commercial development of the technology.

This qualification project have matured the prototype and the patent application and contributed with valuable market insights for the product. As a steppingstone for further development this may contribute towards improving chances of survival of cardiac arrest outside of the hospital.
