Commercialisation of a beast cancer detection model developed for BreastScreen Norway

This project was based on an AI model developed by the Norwegian Computing Center that can detect breast cancer in mammography images. We have evaluated different use cases, such as selecting examinations that can be assessed by a single radiologist instead of two. We have mapped EU regulations and Norway-specific requirements for such systems, and assessed different corporate structures and business models for potential commercialization, concluding that the AI model has the potential to become a commercial product.

Vi har kartlagt KI-modellens økonomiske potensial og utredet kravene fra EUs MDR som følger av alternative konkrete bruksområder (use cases). Vi har utredet alternative selskapsformer og forretningsmodeller og konkludert med at modellen har potensial til å bli et komersielt verktøy.
