Social Robot for the Orchestration of Cooperative Automated Vehicles and Vulnerable Road Users

The challenge addressed by the proposed project is that in the future autonomous vehicles can cooperate through V2X communication, expressing the plans and intentions for manoeuvres, but no such integrations exists towards vulnerable road users (VRU). The project aims to be the first who provide traffic orchestration solutions with a humanoid social robot for mixed automated and non-automated mobility.
