The purpose of the project is to improve the efficiency of alkaline electrolysers by up to 23% and become the worldleading supplier of alkaline electrolysers for green hydrogen production by developing a new electrolyser cell/stack design incl. material selection that supports extended service life and H2 safety. With this invention, HydrogenPro, can achieve a larger market share of the global market for large-scale alkaline electrolyser technology and contribute to an additional CO2 reduction of 7.8 Mt (2027-2035). Norsk Energi and USN will lead the safety work and develop methodology for safety analysis and barriers for the new designs.
