Research stay for Primary Refence for CCS at KROHNE

Awarded: NOK 95,999

Amanda Ledell, a PhD candidate at NTNU and member of the PREFERENCE project (Project number: 336355, focused on enabling fiscal metering for CCS) plans to go to KROHNE Ltd. in Wellingborough, UK, on a research visit during the fall of 2025. Her research focuses on transient modelling and uncertainty analysis for digital twins of CCS Systems via the development of estimation algorithms for multiphase mass flow estimation. The stay will focus on a collaboration between Amanda and researchers at the R&D department at KROHNE Ltd. and is crucial for Amanda's research as she needs extensive datasets of multiphase mixtures with traceability, which are hard to come by and KROHNE possesses. Furthermore, the domain knowledge among the researchers at KROHNE will help her develop uncertainty estimates for the measurements which are critical for the PREFERENCE project as it focuses on building a primary reference where the algorithm is intended to be used.
