Pathogenicity of Bacillus spp.other than B. cereus

The food industry has no methods available to test for toxin producing Bacillus strains other the B.cereus. We want to make it possible for the Food industry to be able to find such strains in raw materials and products before marketing. This will be don e by:- Isolate and characterize possible virulence factors of the possible virulent Bacillus spp.other than cereus.- Clone and sequence enterotoxins for Bacillus.spp.-Develop rapid methods for detecting virulence factors.
