Characterization of rheological, dynamical, structural and thermodynamic features in aqueous systems of amphiphilic polymers

Tildelt: kr 1,8 mill.

In this project we address association phenomena that take place in systems containing amphiphilic polymers (consist of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts) and surfactants. To gain a fundamental insight into mechanisms that control polymer-surfactant interactions and the formation of association complexes, we will investigate various polymer-surfactant systems. In the course of this project we will study rheological, dynamical, structural and thermodynamic properties of these systems by utilizing tech niques such as rheological experiments. time-resolved light scattering. dynamic and intensity light scattering. We also plan to perform simulations and model calculations.
