Organisation of the MGED8 meeting in Bergen Sept 2005

The MGED8 meeting will be held in Bergen Sept 8-10 2005 and will attract participants from all over the world and will include both experimentalists and bioinformatics developers and users. The MGED meeting series is one of the most important meeting plac es for development of standards, databases, and tools for microarray data and for functional genomics data in general. The meeting will feature approx 20 invited talks, poster sessions, selected poster presentations, tutorials, and workshops. To make the meeting attractive we seek funding to allow for a program of distinguished guest lecturers, a professional organisation, and at the same time keep registration fees moderate.
