Geografi:

The focus on the high and strongly increasing cost in Norwegian fish processing industry have led to establishment of an own institution, EnergiFORUM where members of FHL´s fish industry groups are invited to take part. The aim for this interdisciplinary group is to reduce energy consumption and increase energy recovery from refrigeration systems, heat processes etc. The intention is to set up network between companies in comparable industries and collection of energy data, comparison of consumption data, information and workshops, etc. to increase focus on energy in the companies. To improve energy efficiencies in equipment, machinery, processes, etc. and in improve use and control in operation R&D will be important. This project is a part of the FHL ene rgy activity and will cover research, development and technology transfer to control the most energy demanding processes in industry connected to fish processing. A cooperation between SINTEF Energiforskning AS within research, ABB within energy control and management systems and FHL as a link and responsible for fish processing industry will secure the research level and industry involvement in this project. Two or more of FHL industry member will be used to show the results from this project.
