Sedimentology of Miocene Oil Sands and the Evaluation of its Oil Seepages in the Gebel El- Zeit area, Southern Gulf of Suez, Egypt.

The Gebel El-Zeit area is located on the western coast of the Gulf of Suez, Egypt. The areas in/and around the Gulf of Suez are generally important due to their hydrocarbon resources. In the present study we will apply the sedimentological and the geochem ical teqniques to evaluate the Miocene tar sands and its seepage in Gebel El-Zeit area as source of shale oil.
