Following very successful meetings in recent years, the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) will be staging its biennial conference EACR 21 in Oslo to discuss the latest developments in cancer research and science. The conference will be broad and balanced, and will include Gene Expression, Outcomes Research, Cell Biology, Epidemiology, Immunology and Tumour Microenvironment as well as other topics ensuring broad coverage of significant areas in the field. The four-day programme will comprise Plenary Lectures, Meet the expert Lecturers, Educational Lectures, Symposia and Workshops, Oral and Poster presentations. We aim to highlight the latest discoveries and trends in a meeting that will provide a platform for extensive discussions and collab oration between researchers. A particular concern has been to ensure that the programme incorporates sessions for young investigators and young cancer researchers. We are aiming at participation from about 1000-1200 scientists from all over the world. The invited speakers are from all parts of Europe, US, Canada and Australia and they have already accepted to participate and expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming conference (see attached program). Among the speakers are a Nobel prize laureate, winn ers of the Lasker award, Landon Award, The Heineken award, The Pezcoller award among others, and they are world renowned in the cancer research field. Three of the speakers are also among the recently assigned 5 Dream teams appointed by AACR (American A ssociation of Cancer Research and the SU2C (Stand Up To Cancer) initiative.
