FME Bioenergy Innovation Centre (CenBio) will in this project financed by the Research Council of Norway procure advanced scientific equipment, which will contribute to fulfilling the overall CenBio objectives and the national bioenergy goals. The advance d scientific equipment procured will enhance the CenBio capabilities within several bioenergy disciplines. The advanced scientific equipment includes
Biogas lab-reactors, Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) for ash analyses , Low-temperature plasma ashing equipment (LT-asher), Autoclave for ash sample preparation for ICP-OES, HPLC for complex carbohydrates and other relevant organic compounds in the biomass and High heating rate thermogravimetry (TGA) and Differential scanni ng calorimetry (DSC). This advanced scientific equipment will contribute especially to the research within biogas production, ash related operational aspects such as corrosion and fouling, characterization techniques and fundamental fuel studies in CenBio .
