Disquietness in schools

Disquietness in Schools A Comparative Study of Primary - and Junior High Schools in Berkeley, USA and in Oslo, Norway. The principal objective of this project is to identify the normative basis for pupils and teachers in public schools who experience dis quietness during classes and to explore categories which provoke disquietness during class. The schools involved in this study are primary- and junior high schools which have certain similarities when it comes to diversity in social class, ethnicity, reli gion and social challenges among the pupils. The goal is to develop flexible yet precise instrument during spring 2010. The assistance of several Masters and Bachelor level students from the University of Oslo has been established. They will spend the spring 2010 semester at UC Berkeley taking classes and working in internships in schools in the Berkeley Unified School District. An entire 30 such internships have been established.
