E.On Ruhrgas programme for Political Science - Spring 2011

I am a 24-year-old student from the University of Oslo, where I just began my Masters Degree in Political Science. This summer I finished my BA at the same university, where my field of study was Public Administration and Management. I am applying for cou rses in Political Science, particulary in the field Public Policy and Administration at three of the universities in the Berlin area (University of Potsdam, Freie University and Humboldt University). My background has led me to develop a greater interes t in public policies. Within this field, I especially find public sector reforms as well as implementation processes interesting. The main motivation for this application is that it will give me the opportunity to take courses at universities which has specialized in my areas of interest, and furthermore that I can relate these theories to an European/international context. My goal with a stay in Germany is to prepare and inspire me for my Master Thesis, which I am about to start writing autumn 2011. I am also enthusiasthic about learning German, as I believe it is a strength concidering further professional career and the close relations that exists between Norway and Germany.
