More specifically, the scientific goals of the proposed infrastructure are as follows:
a) Simulation of wave-induced motions in a controlled and repeatable environment without the need for a wave tank.
b) Development and testing of new innovative concepts for motion compensation.
c) Testing of both vessel-to-vessel and vessel-to-seafloor compensation.
d) Development of new and improved control strategies fo r hydraulic equipment.
e) Development of new installation or maintenance concepts for floating offshore wind turbines.
