The application from FME-SUCCESS consists of 4 parts in prioritized sequence. A whole
range of activities in the SUCCESS centre has been addressed in this application, with
particular focus on equipment that will strengthen the cooperation within the cent re.
The proposed infrastructure will expand and strengthen the centre's capabilities in the field of
laboratory experiments, with a particular focus on complementarity and cooperative work on
the same samples. Field equipment is the other large focus area of this application. The
possibility of providing high quality samples and data from storage sites and their
surroundings, and to perform the analyses that require onsite equipment, will represent a
major step forward for internal SUCCESS cooperation, an d also for all other partners
involved in the field activities. The proposed wellsite equipment will in connection with the
upcoming drilling and injection activity at the LYB CO2 pilot provide valuable data sets for
SUCCESS activities, and marine monitor ing and surveying will through the proposed
ivestments become a major stronghold in SUCCESS and for the Norwegian research
community. The present application both represents a continuation of previous investments
by the SUCCESS partners, but also an incre ased focus on data acquisition from field
activities.
