The theme of the workshop, seminars and related edited collection shall fo cus around the question: what is the relationship between popular cosmologies and economics?
The monograph, tentatively titled 'Economies of Fortune. Witchcraft, Vitality and Nature in Sino-Tibetan Borderlands', aim to constitute the first study of the s ymbolic conceptions of prosperity, luck and witchcraft beliefs among Tibetans in contemporary China.
