Norsk posisjonering for deltakelse KIC innen Added Value Manufacturing (AVM), call 2016

Industry and research representatives both from Manufuture and EFFRA have expressed their strong desire for an early launch of the proposed added value manufacturing knowledge and innovation community (KIC). A KIC in Manufacturing has however been on the Strategic agenda within Manufuture since 2008. The Call in 2016 for the KIC within Added Value Manufacturing (AVM)is official determined by EIT. SINTEF has together with NTNU been active on this arena and has today a position in the network that works t o establish a Manufuture based organisation for a KIC within Manufacturing for a call in 2016 with Norwegian participation. We are also aware and open for other AVM KIC initiatives. The European Industry and the European Council are today prioritizing act ion on competitiveness and re-industrialization. According to the European Commission proposal contained within the next research program, Horizon 2020, a KIC focusing on added value manufacturing is to be launched within 2018. The activities to be a cent ral part of the AVM kick has started and will continue in 2014 and 2015.
