One of the greatest unsolved problems in cosmology today is the question of the cause of the accelerating expansion of the Universe. The European space mission Euclid, which will be launched in 2020, is the most advanced probe to address this problem. No rway has a major involvement in Euclid, and Norwegian scientists participate in the Cosmology Theory and Cosmological Simulations Science Working Groups of the Euclid Consortium. These groups have previously held two joint meetings with 60 participants, a nd Norway has been asked to hold the third joint meeting. The impact of the joint meeting will be very substantially enhanced by arranging an open international conference in concurrence with it. A major international cosmology conference has never befo re been held in Norway. With the strong contribution to Planck and Euclid, and a quickly growing research group with more than 20 active scientists, time is ripe for such a meeting being held in Norway. The meeting will be held at Rica Holmenkollen Park Hotel in Oslo, with the joint meeting of the Science Working Groups from 11 to 13 January and the open conference from 13 to 17 January, 2015.
