A new biomaterial available for wound healing

Agroplas AS/ Biovotec AS has successfully established a consortium of outstanding academic and industrial partners with expertise covering the whole value chain from eggshell raw material sourcing to wound healing (BIA project). The project has a goal of building a strong R&D basis for development of several wound healing product prototypes. The product targets a large market with growing medical device needs and a strong desire for innovation based on natural raw materials. However, costs for a commercia lization, building pilot production facilities and building a regulatory file are not covered by the present BIA project. Due to this, we plan to apply for an SME phase I, EU- Horizon 2020 project. The EU project SME phase I would then allow in addition the following: - Develop the product idea further - Market entry strategies - Make an comprehensive risk analysis - Identify commercial partners - Define the market potential for specific products - Design study The PES funding would then allow us to wr ite and seek external advice to write an SME phase I, EU- Horizon 2020 project application
