There is an industrial requirement for accurately and rapidly measuring the internal temperature distribution of objects non-destructively and that such measurements should be made from inspection of the exterior surfaces of the object without the need for inserting a temperature probe or other device into the bulk of an object.
Common applications would be in inspection of such things as:-
Galvanizing lines:
Nonferrous metal hot strips:
Continuous casting;
Printing, Coating;
Laminating;
Drying/curing;
Thermoforming;
Textiles;
Plaster board;
Paint curing;
Internal temperature of liquids and emulsions undergoing chemical reactions.
It is envisaged to use two separate but complementary techniques which could either be used separately or in combination.
