Financial support for AbleOn Medical when writing an application targeting H2020

The project goal is to write an excellent phase 1 grant application for the SME-Intrument to obtain valuable funding for further product development. The submitted EU- grant application will regard a project with following description. The global healthcare is currently under an economical pressure that is expected to grow rapidly in the future and new disruptive innovations are needed to change the on going trend. It has been shown that home care and preventive care will be important solutions to improve quality of care and promote patient well-being while saving huge amount of resources. It is stated that the first thing elderly, living at home need help with is the personal hygiene and showering and the current method used is human assisted. Human assisted showering is not only an infringement of the human integrity with lowered self-esteem and wellbeing among patients as a result but also a heavy task for care workers with inconvenient working positions and a risk for work related injuries. The project aims to address social and economical challenges that are rising in healthcare and elderly care. AbleOn Medical as develops new solutions that will redefine the showering process for elderly and the aim of the project is that AbleOn in collaboration with Sensario, a company that develops sensors for measurement, monitoring and communication, shall learn; how their products together can be used to create and ICT- based solution for physical and physiological well-being as well as independent and safe shower routines for elderly that currently need human assistance to manage the personal hygiene. The project will continue the development of a system that are going to increase well-being and independence among elderly and disabled living at home, relieve care-workers of a heavy workload and save large amount of resources for the society.
