MARINTEK CIMC Collaboration on Ocean Technologies

The purpose of the travel is to follow up the high-level meetings in Trondheim on 19-20 September 2016 between CIMC and SINTEF/MARINTEK to explore possibilities for co-operation, staring on a project basis but continuously evaluating possibilities for extending the collaboration further. The travel will focus on discussion of the details of (1) heavy-weather wave loads and (2) ice loads on floating structures. The former consists of two tasks : * Low frequency wave loads and motions in extreme seas * Design with regard to air-gap and wave slamming in harsh environments
