The aim of the proposal is to unify into a unique platform the use of different technologies applied to monitor and provide decision support in the logistics and maintenance operations in port infrastructures:
1. Development of a novel logistic tool, integrated with cost-efficient unattended traceability technologies.
2. Development of a centralized module for intelligent maintenance of port infrastructure elements.
3. Development of a Virtual Port platform, with embedded logistics event-driven process simulation.
4. Green scheduling of port operations by considering energy consumption and fuel emissions as explicit objectives besides service- and cost-oriented objectives.
5. Use of drones (UAV) and/or unmanned surface vehicles (USV) to monitor vessel movement inside the port and logistics operations. Feedback to the central Decision Support System (DSS).
6. Workers receive feedback from ground WSN, UAV/USV, regarding logistics operations, maintenance work. The display of the information is given usingAugmentedReality (AR) in smartphone/tablets and/or smart-glasses.
7. Socio-economic studies for the integration of the port in the surrounding business area and for the transferability in other ports, and multimodal hubs.
