Tildelt: kr 0,25 mill.

Nordic Educational Research Association/ Nordisk forening for pedagogik (NERA/NFPF) is a scientific community with a broad mission to promote an active research culture in the field of educational research. NERA arranges annual congresses in cooperation with universities in the Nordic countries and it rotates between the countries. The Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Oslo has accepted to be the host for the 46th congress March 8-10,2018. The congress is organised through more than 20 Networks and they serve as a meeting ground for researchers within the field of education. The congress will be organized at Blindern campus and between 600 - 700 participants are expected to participate. The theme of the congress 2018 is Educational Research: Boundaries, Breaches and Bridges. By focusing on this the theme we will explore how boundaries between knowledge fields and actors are challenged and how new boundaries are constructed in educational sciences today. Key questions to be addressed include: 1.How are boundaries transcended and (re)defined in the educational sciences? 2.How is the traditional organization of the educational sciences challenged in the wake of interdisciplinary research and user involvement? 3.What opportunities and challenges lie in disciplinary demarcations, when it comes to balancing productive exchange across boundaries? Three highly recognized key-note speakers have accepted to contribute to the theme from different perspectives. An organising Committee, a part time Project manager and a congress bureau are in charge for the planning.
