Blue Bioeconomy National Symposium

Tildelt: kr 32 316

The Nordic Centre of Excellence for Sustainable and Resilient Aquatic Production (SUREAQUA) is contributing with new knowledge to advancing the transition to the bioeconomy in the Nordic area. The Centre focusses on promoting the business potential of aquatic production, increasing the efficiency of resource exploitation, and enhancing environmental, social and economic sustainability and resilience in the context of the blue bioeconomy. To achieve this goal, the Centre seeks to collaborate closely with private and public sectors (more at www.sureaqua.no) with a focus on Norway and the Nordic region. The Centre is already comprised of more than 40 partners from the Nordics, almost half of which are based in Norway. As such, it is an ideal platform for contributing to and facilitating collaboration in research and policy development for the bioeconomy both nationally within Norway and across the region. Leading scientists from major research institutions as well as policymakers and industry representatives will be invited, and it is foreseen that the event will contribute to strengthening national network-building within the field.
