The vision of CONCORDIA is: - To bring together people with the highest expertise, especially in the area of networked systems security, with a clear vision and the confidence that the core team of CONCORDIA already proven to be able work together on big visions in most efficient way with excellent results. - To act in a highly dynamical way, like a startup, to adequately address the high speed of development and innovation although having impact due to the size of a large research organizations (e.g. CODE, FORTH), and the industry involved. CONCORDIA advocates that it is necessary to think cybersecurity not only holistically but in a different way to decrease the attack surface. - To clearly bridge between the network, industrial and military communities, and define processes for cooperation. Only if all communities are involved in a cybersecurity network, as they are in CONCORDIA, a real dual use of technology can be assured. - To build a virtual lab infrastructure based on the large real ones located as each partner of CONCORDIA to be available to the other members of the network. - To accelarate the development of IT products, resp. cybersecurity solutions, products and services, according to the developed research map. _ To build an ecosystem to train a new generation of information security researchers and practitioners by providing the content basis for extensive education and training opportunities. - To build sustainable cybersecurity solutions that require trustworthy exchange of security information like a Threat Intelligence for Europe and a Clearing House for cyber attacks for Europe.
