Revolutionising the Construction Workflow by Visualisation and Collaboration in Virtual Reality

The workflow for building new constructions AEC)follows multiple steps from planning to detailed design, construction, and continuous utilisation and operations. Dimension10, has developed a platform solution that allows visualisation with the help of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) and collaboration by VR-interaction. Today 3D modeling is the AEC industry standard for modeling our visualisation and collaboration platform can be implemented directly without any further effort. It unlocks the potential of existing 3D models by the integration of novel, innovative VR-technology, thereby creating a multi-million business opportunity. Using off-the-shelf VR hardware, our software platform enables professionals to import 3D-models and instantly work with them in virtual reality, with users, anywhere in the world. In order to launch D10 in the EU market from 2021 onwards, we intend to execute the following activities in the scope of a Phase1 Feasibility Study: 1) Technical feasibility study: (i) Software development to optimise and test the VR, AR, AI and eye-tracking analytics, (ii) Assess in detail the available 3D modeling software programs to evaluate the requirement and workload for integration into D10, (iii) Prepare a technical risk assessment and define mitigation actions and a contingency plan, (iv) Technology watch and new partners. 2) Commercial Feasibility Assessment and market study of the European Building Information Modeling (BIM) market, (ii) Identify potential EU clients and distributors for D10, (iii) Create a dissemination plan to maximise impact in the target markets, (iv) Evaluate commercial risks and define mitigation actions and a contingency plan, (v) Conduct a full Freedom to Operate (FTO) analysis and ensure/reconfirm our FTO, and (vi) Define the best IP strategy to protect and exploit D10. 3) Financial Feasibility Assessment, which will (i) Estimate the total investment to bring the features developed in Phase 2 to TRL9.
