PREMOTE - PES2020

The aim of the H2020 project is to build and test a prototype system of PREMOTE – a smart and cost-effective monitoring system for remote marine energy assets. It will use a digital twin platform to provide intelligent, automated, remote and real-time, predictive and preventative operation and maintenance for users and suppliers of wave (WECs) and tidal (TECs) energy converter technologies. This platform will target the reduction of the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) towards competitive prices by reducing the operation and maintenance (O&M) costs by 47,1 %. As a result, PREMOTE will reduce the total LCOE of TEC and WEC technologies up to 20 %, while enabling CAPEX reduction via optimized redesign of oceanic device structures for commercial-scale projects.
