ICDE Lillehammer Lifelong Learning Summit 2019 -where education meets work to shape the future of lifelong learning.

The ICDE Lillehammer Learning Summit in 2019 is an international meeting place where education meets work for development of lifelong learning for the future. Lifelong Learning is highly relevant, with the new Sustainable Development Goal "Education 2030: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning". The future is flexible and digital, addressing widespread challenges in the areas of education. The conference program is organized within the following three levels of learning: 1.Macro learning: Policy and society -Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing inclusion, equality, empowerment and employment -Policies for new competences needs and employment adjustment -The digital transformation and automation of business and society -Quality assurance in lifelong learning -Funding and regulations 2. Meso learning: Collaboration between working life and education -Enabling meeting places -How to facilitate for training and continuing education -Learning and sustainable organisations -The relationship between needs, demands and offers 3. Micro learning: Educational approaches -Individual strategies for acquirement of knowledge throughout (working) life -Learning arenas- formal and informal learning in different contexts -Flexible learning forms, self-regulated learning and learning network -Open access learning resources, course portals and MOOCs -Technology, including AI and VR, in learning -Pedagogical methods and models The conference will be organized in variety of formats. In addition to plenary sessions, more then 100 presentations from 35 countries will be held in parallel sessions by researchers and professionals in lifelong learning and ICT in education. They will exchange and share their research and knowledge with representatives from the industry, employers' organisations and trade unions. The conference will be held in Lillehammer, February 11th - 13th 2019.
