ROSEWOOD4.0 aims at extending the actions of the actual ROSEWOOD network by further developing regional networks of actors of the wood mobilization value-chain to reinforce the sustainability of the wood mobilization across European Regions. Emphasis is put on digitalization of forestry industry and digital tools allowing best-practices sharing and trainings of practitioners. This multi-actor approach close knowledge gaps and create new opportunities for economic partnerships between stakeholders through the extensive dissemination of technological and non-technological innovations, best practice cases and RDI results feeding the regional AKIS as well as EIP-Agri platform. ROSEWOOD4.0 focuses on the transfer of know-how and information enabling and supporting practitioners in exploiting near to market innovations and best-practices as well as facilitating the inter-regional knowledge. ROSEWOOD4.0 will also provide practitioners with development skills (educational and entrepreneurial) and facilitate organizational innovations leading to novel exploitation chains facilitating the uptake of new ideas and best practices. To allow a wider transfer of best practices and innovations, ROSEWOOD4.0 will develop digital tools supporting practitioners in implementing but also in consulting information (platforms, trainings, webinars). Multi-actors will be connected in an open-innovation environment adapted to sustainable wood mobilization and digitilisation of the field. ROSEWOOD4.0 will contribute to an economically viable and sustainable development in rural areas (through digitilisation) towards the enhancement of an EU Bioeconomy. ROSEWOOD4.0‘s co-ordination and support actions will be implemented via Wood Mobilization Regional Hubs located within 5 communities across Europe providing greater opportunities for forestry to align its activities with local and regional development plans.
