ARCT's founder and Principal, Karin Berentsen, relevant projects for the call: 2018 - ARCT Project leader with European Space Center, ESA, funding of 60 k Euro, to assess ability to map relevant Climate risks and added value of using satellite images. 2016 - 2018 ARCT Project leader with Innovation Norway funding to develop a opportunity and risk mapping tool. (Arctic 2030: 1.5 mill. NOK / sept. 2016 - 2018. ARCT contributes to ensure the Proposal focuses on answering all of the Call's proposed action points: * Project contribute to enhanced engagement and interaction with residents from Indigenous and local communities. * Assess viability of new economic activities – such as resource exploitation, shipping and tourism. * Investigation of key processes with societal and economic impacts, provide appropriate, practical solutions. * Capacity building for sustainable livelihoods. The Proposal ensures multi-disciplinary participation and approach (Academia, governance and business) to address the complex challenges of this topic.
