Open Platform for Human-Centred Cyber-Physical-Production-Systems (OLYMPUS)

Tildelt: kr 59 999

Following the above, the objective of OLYMPUS is to provide an open IT platform to support and enhance the role and competence of the humans working in or with connected manufacturing systems. OLYMPUS is focusing on the “grand challenge” of Excellence in Manufacturing Networks, with the focus on the human operator and in particular to “human competences in synergy with technological progress” in the network of connected factories. OLYMPUS aiming to develop a next-generation digital platform which builds on the state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 ICT reference architectures and namely the Reference Architecture Model for Industry 4.0 (RAMI 4.0) that is basically to implement intra-factory quality management practices and the Industrial Data Space (IDS) that provide the scheme for a trusted and secure environment in industrial B2B collaboration. The envisioned IoT platform will be wrapped by several applications driving both, human “personal interest” as well as business value (Figure 2). Apart from RAMI4.0 and IDS based solutions, OLYMPUS considers the Digital Twin as a key enabling technology to evaluate and improve human competencies in production systems and networks. OLYMPUS Digital Twin concept to support the synchronization of the virtual with real world and provides a novel framework that improves human factors with respect to technological progress through an open, collaborative multi-sided ecosystem. OLYMPUS aims at enabling the use of Digital Twin services (such as simulation and co-simulation, virtual commissioning, as-designed and as-implemented data services) over a secured and trusted RAMI4.0 and IDS enabled platform. The developed platform aims to improve the existing industry established training and management approaches related to the Personnel Management, through the digitalization of the connected manufacturing system, characterized as Industry 4.0, by allowing for the information sharing between value chain actors and assets.
