NORSI er den Nordiske forskerskolen for doktorgradsstudenter innen forskningsområdene innovasjon og entreprenørskap. Gjennom samarbeid, og med en nettverksbasert tilnærming, bidrar NORSI til å styrke forskerutdanning innen innovasjons- og entreprenørskap studier i Norden.
NORSI sitt hovedoppdrag er først og fremst å styrke forskerutdanning i de nordiske land gjennom å koordinere doktorgradskurs og andre aktiviteter relevant for forskerutdanningen. For det andre har NORSI som mål å ytterligere koordinere og styrke de nordiske og internasjonale forbindelsene innenfor disse forskningsmiljøene.
Behovet for samarbeid og forskningsbasertkunnskap om innovasjon og entreprenørskap i samfunnet er økende. Globale utfordringer som klimaendringer og globalulikheter krever innovative og bærekraftige løsninger. NORSI sin kursportefølje og forskningsdiskusjoner reflekterer dette.
Med sin tverrfaglige tilnærming er NORSI for unge forskere en møteplass som gir en tydeligere forskningsidentitet innenfor et tverrfaglig forskningsfelt. Gjennom NORSI er PhD kandidater og faglige en del av et nettverk som gir muligheter for samarbeid, kunnskapsdeling, forskningsformidling og internasjonal utveksling.
I 2022 har NORSI hele 28 partner institusjoner fra Norge, Sverige, Danmark, Finland og Island. Ved årsskiftet 2023 regner vi med å ha hele 32 partner institusjoner. Vi tilbyr et titalls PhD-kurs hvert semester samt nettverksarrangementer, digitale samlinger, seminarer, konferanser og ekskursjoner. Vi har om lag 240 aktive studenter og 110 alumni samt et hundretalls fakultetsmedlemmer som er tilknyttet NORSI og vi vokser i et enormt tempo. Vi har på nåværende tidspunkt en innholdsrik og mangfoldig kurs og aktivitetsportefølje vi tilbyr våre studenter, men vi møter stadig større etterspørsel eller faglig påfyll for våre alumni samt fakultetsansatte som er tilknyttet NORSI og vi håper å i fremtiden også kunne bistå disse to gruppene.
NORSI is the Nordic research school for PhD students within the research areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. NORSI coordinates PhD courses and other activities of high international standard among its partner institutions. All NORSI member institutions work together to facilitate activities and pool resources. With this network-based approach, NORSI member institutions create an excellent research education within innovation and entrepreneurial-oriented PhD studies in the Nordic countries. NORSI’s key missions are firstly to support the next generation of researchers within innovation and entrepreneurship by enhancing and facilitating research education in Norway and the other Nordic countries. Secondly, NORSI aims to further coordinate and strengthen the Nordic and international connections in the research community.
The NORSI course portfolio and research discussions reflects that we increasingly live in a knowledge-intensive society with a strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurial incentives and processes in all sectors. The need for collaborative and appropriately vetted knowledge about innovation and entrepreneurial processes in society has increased. Global solutions to sustainable development challenges such as climate change and inequality requires innovative and entrepreneurial knowledge. NORSI plan to evolve its cross-disciplinary program as the need for appropriately evidence-based understanding in these areas is apparent. With its multi-disciplinary approach NORSI is for young researchers an meeting place that give a disciplinary focus and stronger research identity in a multi-disciplinary research field. Through NORSI students and faculty are part of a network that provides opportunities for collaborations, research dissemination and international exchanges. Faculty and students expand their network through NORSI and increased collaboration results in hightned internationalization of participating NORSI institutions.
