Promoting marine and maritime research in Horizon Europe

Dette prosjektet tar sikte på å fremme marin og maritim forskning på den europeiske arenaen. Konsortiet samler 11 norske universiteter med marin og maritim profil. Med kommunikasjon, outreach og lobbyvirksomhet ønsker vi å fremme havforskning internasjonalt, og fremme norske forskningsprioriteringer i Horisont Europa. Vi vil fokusere på bærekraftige marine matsystemer, forurensning av havet og prediksjon av havets økosystem og fysiske miljø.

Norwegian Marine University Consortium (NMU) proposes a project which aims to promote marine research in the European arena and advance Norwegian research priorities. We will link the Norwegian marine research community to the European level and share information in both directions. NMU has a broad foundation in the Norwegian research sector. Marine and maritime activities are the fundament of Norwegian economy, and research related to these activities is highly prioritised in the national agenda. However, at the European level, the situation is different, and with our lobbying and information activities, we want to promote and advance marine research also internationally.
