Tildelt: kr 47 092

Since the first event in February 2011, the Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory (NBL) Annual Workshop has become a multi-stakeholder platform for information sharing for academic and technical discussion, and strategic perceptiveness of research and innovation frontiers, in this ever-interesting field – biometrics. The upcoming event NBLAW 2020 on 4th March 2020, has the theme of “Behavioral Biometrics and Cyber Crimes.” The rapid development of the internet results in massive amounts of information available, which leads to an increase in cyber threats. Many cyber-crimes are challenging to detect early, hence tricky to restrict in the early phases of occurring. Cyber-crimes have severe impacts on society in the form of economic disruption, psychological disorder, a threat to national security, etc. Restriction of cyber-crimes is dependent on proper analysis of their behavior and understanding of their impacts over various levels of society. Behavioral biometrics techniques offer a powerful yet effortless tool in the computer security arsenal that can augment more traditional security techniques and thereby improving overall security. The objective of NBLAW 2020 is to identify preventative measures different organizations take defending against cybercrimes, whether on their infrastructure or against their customers. The workshop includes the discussion and presentation on various solutions achieved on various problems with Text analysis and keystroke dynamics. We have invited several experts in this domain from various countries to give lectures in the NBLAW-2020 Annual workshop.
