Pixii ACC

The Pixii ACC project aims to bring microgrid control with integrated energy storage from a highly engineering intensive and costly industry standard to a convenient, flexible and modular solution facilitating the setup and operation of microgrids. To achieve this we will prototype, pilot and commercialise our unique technology for power conversion, aimed at answering the current shift from centralised to decentralised energy generation. The solution is centralised around our innovative Pixiibox, an advanced bi-directional power conversion unit, able to allow energy transfer from grid to battery, and vice versa. The ACC project aims at developing a complete system, the Pixii PowerShaper, a hardware and software smart inverter, microgrid controller and energy storage system solution. Its modular and flexible design represents a significant step beyond the current state-of-the-art, providing microgrid operators with an adaptable, scalable and cost-efficient solution. Its major commercial potential will aid us in attaining a position as market and technology leader in the USD 27bn Micro Grid Market, and the USD 8.2bn Energy Storage Market, and result in a positive environmental impact in Europe. This EIC Accelerator deadline focuses on the Green Deal, for which Pixii is an important step in enabling clean energy. The aim is to move our current prototype technology to full commercialisation onto the global market. To increase our commercial success and impact, we have created a Strategic Business Plan, as a detailed roadmap, describing all necessary activities we need to undertake to ensure a successful market introduction. Now, we seek to develop our Commercialisation Plan (CP), which will form an important part of the final Business Innovation Plan (BIP), to be created in this Accelerator Pilot project. As our project builds upon a validated prototype technology, the majority of our efforts will be focused on piloting and commercialisation activities.
