The Decarbonisation of the Energy System is a broad EU target that Energy Citizenship can reach if its network achieves a sustainable representation of high share of the respective local society. That means, if the citizenship network has the competencies and capabilities to represent a high social share and effectively manage the energy topic, then it can be possible to address effectively the EU target for the decarbonisation of the energy system. We aim to define the successful environment and the social norms and values that prevail . While innovation became institutionalized under the logic of urban competitiveness, climate change is reinvigorating a need to cultivate new techniques of governance for urban sustainability. Within this context, experimentation is to prompt radical social and technological transition by testing and defining the most effective and efficient technological advancements under a range of conditions in highly visible ways. Standard Ecological theories are insufficient to address the complexity of human culture, behavior and institutions; thus our ecological direction require the integration of social science research, require longer time horizons and must be informed by flexible models and multi-scaled data. Under this light we aim to Define, Educate, Manage and Support Energy Communities networks, set up in European Countries in towards Green Energy Actions, in order to increase energy efficiency and/or optimise energy management to integrate a higher share of renewable energy (generated locally or provided from the grid) within the community (options have to be decided) by, for example, combining collective solutions to distributed generation, distributed storage, and/or demand-response aggregation Consumer behavior and especially planned behavior is a methodological framework that allow us to define, measure and predict citizents’ behavior towards the adoption of Green Energy.
