Bulk and nanomaterials development is crucial for applications in renewable energy and environmental technologies, energy saving and storage. Multidisciplinary nature of the materials research and applications, dissemination, testing, and marketing requires the competence, which is beyond the capability of individual groups. Here, active international collaboration, further strengthening the industry-academic and academic-academic collaborations, training of manpower from young researchers and PhD students, infrastructure and knowledge exchange, market analysis, dissemination, etc is crucial. The aim of the present proposal is to seek funding for organization of the Indian-Norwegian Conference “Functional mAterials for eneRgy, environment And biOmedical applicatioNs” (FARAON) planned for . Most of the key speakers from India/Norway that previously did not collaborate with Norwegian/Indian groups will be invited.
Establishing new collaboration, planning joint effort for research and implementation of the results, project development for joint Indian-Norwegian and EU-Indian funding Institutions are expected.
