RESISFORCE er et norsk-indisk-brasiliansk-kanadisk-amerikansk konsortium ledet av Universitetet i Oslo, med det primære målet å styrke forskning og utdanning i verdensklasse innen de kombinerte områdene biofilm og antibiotikaresistens. Partnerskapet er basert på vellykkede samarbeid som knytter utdanning og forskning, og er forankret i gjeldende og pågående institusjonelle avtaler. Med INTPARTs støtte planlegger vi å styrke og utvide samarbeidet ved å implementere forskningsutdanningsaktiviteter og digitale løsninger som skal fremme konvergerende interaksjoner. Gitt den globale utfordringen her adressert - antibiotikaresistens, utnevnt av FN som en av de største truslene mot menneskeheten - vil arbeidet ha et sterkt fokus på å fremme globale nettverk. Ved å styrke vårt samarbeid vil vi på den ene siden bidra til universitetets oppgave - å forberede studenter til å møte den globale utfordringen antibiotikaresistens representerer - og på den annen side vil vi skape et sterkt miljø for forskerutdanning som støtter innovative løsninger i kampen mot antibiotikaresistens. Prosjektet har Fynd Reality AS som hovedpartner i Norge. Internasjonale partnere er fra University of Campinas i Brasil, McGill University i Canada og University of Chicago at Illinois i USA, i tillegg til Kalawati Hospital og TCS i India, og Forsyth Institute og J Craig Venter Institute i USA.
RESISFORCE will be a Norwegian-Indo-Brazilian-Canadian-American consortium led by the University of Oslo, with the primary goal to enhance world-class research and education in the combined fields of biofilm and antibiotic resistance. The partnership is based on successful collaborations linking education-research, and anchored by current and ongoing institutional agreements. With INTPART support we plan to strengthen and expand the collaboration by implementing research education activities and remote solutions that will foster convergent interactions. Given the global challenge here addressed -antibiotic resistance, appointed by the United Nations as one of largest threatens to humanity- the work will have a strong focus on promoting global networks. The activities are organized into 6 integrated WPs: WP1 will ensure the progression of the WPs, and address the need for a common network platform to assist students and staff members to find collaborative niches and exchange ideas; WP2 will support mobility of students, young researchers, scientific staff, and education coordinators; WP3 will link education, research and innovation through the organization of joint symposia and interactive activities with invited contributions from the private sector; WP4 and WP5 will focus on design and implementation of an augmented reality course developed in collaboration with the Norwegian business sector, and based on digital interactive immersion; and WP6 will focus on dissemination. By strengthening our collaborations we will contribute, on one hand, to the university's mission to prepare professionals equipped to confront the global challenge represented by antibiotic resistance. On the other hand, we will create a strong research education environment supporting innovative solutions in the fight against resistance. International partners are from the Universities of Campinas, McGill, and UIC, in addition to INDNOR partners, and the Forsyth and J Craig Venter Institutes.
