Knowledge Platform for Indoor Air Quality

The current way of life, mostly urban, forces people to spend most of their time indoors for reasons of work, education, and even exercise, IAQ is now recognized as an important parameter that needs to be controlled, not only to provide thermal comfort but to protect occupants' health. To create healthy indoor environment, KnowAir targets to 1) build a user-friendly and open knowledge graph on air pollutions (both chemical and microbiological) sources, exposure routes, and health risks through a holistic and cross-disciplinary study on the representative indoor environments in different climate-socialeconomic scenarios. 2) bring the cost-effective indoor surveillance solutions-BIM-IoT based digital twin powered by AI, for representative indoor environment, to support create health indoor climate in short and long term. 3) create the user friendly holistic solutions on improved indoor air quality based on better understanding of health consequence of air pollutions. To reach these goal, representative buildings (office building, service building and residential building) crossing Nordic, central, southern, Eastern Europe and Asia; bus and construction site are identified for use cases and deep analysis. An interdisciplinary vibrant consortium, with recognized expertise, experience, skills, resources, infrastructure and position in the relevant fields is prepared to achieve these goals.
