PES2020 Support for

We aim to actively engage citizens from diverse social groups to capture local multi-scalar spatial data and knowledge on environmental quality at individual and community/neighbourhood/city scale and their socio-environmental impacts for different vulnerable communities. This will it will help to find locally fitting innovative solutions, including i) for citizens to transition towards sustainable behaviour, lifestyles and better relationship with the environment; ii) to complement authoritative measurement and allow improved evidence based environmental policy making for better environmental protection, sustainable development and climate actions towards just sustainable and climate–neutral cities in Europe; and iii) contributing to the European Green Deal objectives, UN’s SDGs and a strengthened Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS).
