MISAC - Mobile networks with integrated sensing and communications

A R&D consortium with 9 partners from 6 countries has been established to apply for an Innovation Action project under the EU program SNS-2022 Stream B-01.02 Wireless Communication Technologies and Signal Processing / Joint Communications and Sensing. One or two additional partners from at least one additional country are considered. MISAC relies on an innovative idea that 6G should become a shared infrastructure and network for telecommunications, geographical positioning and sensing application, and as such enable new innovative services and synergies between business applications that historically rely on different infrastructures. The tentative project plan has defined 6 work packages; WP 1: Use case requirements, KPIs and evaluation criteria (incl. channel and RCS models, extended targets) WP 2: Radio system (PHY and RF) WP 3: Resource allocation and network coordination WP4: Object classification und multi-/single node AI processing WP 5: Demonstrator, Integration issues and Evaluation WP 6 : Dissemination and contribution to pre-standardization
