NIKT - 2022

Tildelt: kr 99 999

The project aims to organize the annual NIKT conference in Norway. NIKT - Norsk informatikk-konferanse - is the leading conference for academic ICT personnel in Norway, and is thus one of the most important networking events across the UH sector in Norway. This year's conference will be hosted by the department of Information System (IIS) and the department for information and information technology (IIKT) at UiA and is scheduled to be held in Kristiansand Nov 28-Dec 1, 2022. The conference brings together researchers across four different topical areas that covers ICT teaching and research in Norway: Norwegian Informatics Conference (NIK), Norwegian Conference for Organizations' use of IT (NOKOBIT), Norwegian Information Security Conference (NISK) and Norwegian Conference for Education and Didactics in IT subjects (UDIT). The need for a conference that can serve as a cross-higher education venue is greater than before due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, and the conference will again bring together academic employees from the ICT sector in Norway. This year's event will add a day with workshops (on Dec 1) and a job placement activity, where the latter represents an innovation in the conference.
