8th Annual International workshop on Soft and Complex Matter at Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (DNVA), October 7-8, 2021

Tildelt: kr 99 999

Soft and Complex Matter represents a very active field of research with several large international conferences or symposia as part of large general international conferences each year. The applicant research group is a leading group in Norway in this area. The 7th Annual International workshop on Soft and Complex Matter is preceded by seven workshops in a series, respectively in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. The 2014 workshop was funded by Nordforsk, the 2015 and 2018 workshops were funded jointly by the participants/organizers, and the 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2021workshops were funded by RCN and NTNU. In 2020 there was no workshop in the series due to the pandemic. With this 8th workshop in the series, we will organize the second post-covid event in order to maintain and create new synergy between the three RCN funded projects mentioned above, as well as with other RCN projects granted to some of the invited senior lecturers. The invited lecturers will be a mixture of lecturers that have participated and lectured in the series previously, and lecturers that are new in this context. Postdocs and PhD students from NTNU and UiO (most of them funded by the mentioned or other RCN projects) will give short lectures and receive feedback from one another, and from international and national senior researchers.
