The proposal writing project for the OPERATE initiative involves a comprehensive and structured set of activities aimed at securing funding under the Eurostars program. The objective of this phase is to develop and present a compelling proposal that aligns with the goals of the Eurostars call and demonstrates the feasibility, innovation, and impact of the OPERATE project.
Key activities include:
Research and Analysis
Consortium Building and Stakeholder Engagement
Technical Concept Development
Work Plan and Resource Allocation
Impact Assessment and Dissemination Strategy
Proposal Drafting and Submission
By undertaking these activities, we aim to produce a high-quality proposal that secures the necessary funding to develop and commercialize the OPERATE project, ultimately contributing to the advancement of energy optimization in industrial settings.
Short summary of the OPERATE project:
In OPERATE, a Key Marketable Innovation (KMI) along with supportive consultancy and training will be developed and commercialized to facilitate the decision-making process of an industrial client regarding scheduling and energy-mix optimization utilizing energy storage, as well as training their workforce. More specifically, the aim is to allow the clients to optimize their production line while being less dependent on fluctuating energy costs due to energy crises or other unforeseen events. AI-supported virtual factory simulators will be created to facilitate the training of the autonomous optimization capabilities of the developed modules. The already successful UPKIP platform will be utilized as a basis, upon which three modules will be developed.
