Collaborative defence challenge for testing and advancing drone navigation in complex environments

The project focuses on organizing a technological challenge centered on autonomous drone navigation in non-permissive environments. It aims to evaluate and enhance multi-sensor integration for robust navigation of drones under conditions like GNSS loss and communication jamming. The challenge involves both field and data-based tests where drones navigate through varied environments with obstacles, jamming, and other difficulties. The goal is to compare the performance of different approaches to drone navigation, both for individual drones and swarms, under realistic military conditions. The challenge fosters collaboration between teams by sharing sensor data and conducting debriefing workshops after each test campaign.
