In this seminar, Simula brings together participants from research as well as practitioners from industry and the public sector in the field of security and critical infrastructure.
This event is motivated by the report by the Lysne III-comission on national control of digital infrastructure (Ekspertutvalget for nasjonal kontroll med digital infrastruktur*). The report is due to be delivered to the Minister of Digitalisation and Public Governance on February 28th. This report sets the stage for the event, by identifying:
- What is critical digital national infrastructure in Norway?
- What is the current status for protecting this infrastructure?
- What measures are needed to have sufficient national control of this infrastructure?
Using this as a background, by organizing this event we aim to initiate a discussion on how collaborative research can contribute to securing critical digital national infrastructure. We do this by facilitating a discussion that includes people who are responsible for securing the digital national infrastructure (Jostein Jensen, NHN and Janne Hagen, NVE) with researcher and industry working on security issues that are relevant for securing digital infrastructures (FFI and Mnemonic R&D).
This event is designed to be accessible to both professionals and non-professionals, ensuring a wide understanding
of the important topic of securing the digital critical national infrastructure.
The seminar will be open to all and bring together contributors and participants from academia, industry and the public sector.
