One Health in combination with Engineering (OHE) emerges as a pioneering discipline, seamlessly integrating soft matter engineering, life sciences, medicine, and environmental management to tackle the global and national health challenges in Norway and globally. Scientists from diverse backgrounds will present their results at the conference using an experimental, computational, and theoretical approach for the exploration of health and well-being mysteries of humans, animals, plants and environment from the prospective of material sciences. Environmental and land-use changes, aging human populations, and the increasing prevalence of infectious diseases of plants, animals, and people highlighted the need for training and education of professionals in an interdisciplinary "One Health" approach that is central for supporting a high quality of life. This can be achieved through the smart design and fabrication of advanced materials, e.g. drug delivery, diagnostics, and biomedical products which are an essential part of the "One Health" approach. This inaugurational conference takes a unique approach that brings together diverse groups of participants from academia, industry, and government to Innocamp, Steinkjer on August 21-22, 2025. Participants will have an opportunity to present their findings, discuss potentially new research topics to their institutions and foster new collaborations & partnerships. We invite you and your colleagues to submit abstracts for presentations and look forward to seeing you at the first The Nordic One Health and Soft Matter Engineering conference.
